An algorithm is a step-by-step problem-solving procedure that, if performed in a prescribed sequence, will provide information on how to proceed with decision making related to the topic.  The algorithms on this site are intended for pain management problem-solving and are interactive.  Clicking on certain nodes in each algorithm (indicated by the hand symbol when you place your cursor over the node) will open a window with additional information.
